Oh, I did “Flight of Fancy Necklace”, too! I guess I didn’t comment in time. 🙁

How do I vote? And Where do we put our suggestions for the dress? Am I slow?

  4. Julie Ann 12/12/2009 at 3:34 pm #

I vote for the Eat, Drink and Be Berry Bag 🙂

  5. Julie Ann 12/12/2009 at 3:47 pm #

Ha! I voted for the wrong thing!

For the Necklace I vote: Alisha: Love At First Flight necklace.

I don’t see the ‘top three’ options.. so I just picked one from the comments list that I liked.

I like the bittertweet symphony for the necklace, but there is already a bittersweet symphony bag.

so if that’s the case, what’s with ModCloth and choosing entries that share names with their other products? it was done also in another entry for this North Poll contest…

You guys did a good job, I had a hard time with this one!

Sorry this is off topic but what happened to Winston? We were supposed to learn HOW yesterday, yes? Did I miss something?

I’m tired of seeing names that other websites used being ripped off here. Flight of Fancy was the name of a bird necklace on Fred Flare. come on be original people.

    Love the name Twitterpated….awesome

  12. jenna 12/13/2009 at 1:09 am #

i liked flight of fancy. cute necklace too.

  13. Christina 12/13/2009 at 3:20 am #

I liked “Flight of Fancy” also, … but isn’t it “Flights of Fancy”? That would actually make more sense.

  14. Katharine 12/13/2009 at 7:11 am #

I think I’m with Adia and Jacky on this, but I do think these names are better than some of the others that were picked for previous poll days.

  15. Jackie 12/13/2009 at 10:05 am #

It looks more like “The Great Migration” lecklace.

  16. Julie 12/14/2009 at 5:00 am #

Yeah, it’s confusing some of the names that don’t make it. And I don’t mean mine! There were tons of brilliant bird puns listed and they pick two obvious ones on “flight”? Oh well. I guess everyone has their biases.

    Hi ladies,

We appreciate the feedback on the contest. As I’ve mentioned this has been an extra fun contest for us to run, because we’ve allowed different employees to pick the names, so that there is a variety. Please keep in mind people are selecting the names and may not have the same feelings as you do on the submissions. That is what makes the polling portion of the contest so fun, you have the final say in your favorite finalist. 🙂
Jacky, since it is the readers that are submitting the names, it is not ModCloth copying names from other websites at all. Rest assured we take great pride in the unique product names our writing team comes up with, and would never want to copy someone’s work.
Jen, hopefully this blog post will answer all of your questions about Winston.,

oh no I didn’t mean that modcloth was ripping off the names, I mean that the people submitting them were. I’m sure they’ve seen fred flare and other similar retailers with those names, and went to those websites for their “inspiration”. which is kind of lame.
