Tales from the Road: MAGIC Las Vegas and Beauty Bar Part 2

MAGIC tradeshow, held bi-annually in February and August, is the biggest in the industry. Held in Las Vegas, this tradeshow is as big and intense as the city that hosts it. Since MAGIC covers just about every facet of the apparel industry, us ModBuyers try to stick to the Juniors, S.L.A.T.E (streetwear) and POOL (indie and emerging designers) sections of the show. We also spend one day at Project, a coinciding higher-end tradeshow. This season’s show was a total success and we ordered over 400 new and exciting items for ModCloth!

POOL Tradeshow

In our free time, aside from eating gluttonous amounts of food at awesome buffets and gambling a little, there is usually at least one tradeshow-sponsored party to attend. This year’s party was co-sponsored by Vice Records and Ice Cream Man (a company that gives out ice cream to select events) and was held at none other than Beauty Bar, Las Vegas. There were bands, DJs, drinks, and of course lots of ice cream!

We also “experienced” the Star Trek Experience. It was in our hotel!
