The Cats Of ModCloth-Part Two

Nomi is the softest, most beautiful white kitty with a black toupee. Her favorite pastimes are cuddling under the covers while spooning Marne all night, and trying to escape the house to explore the back yard. She is loyal and immediately loves anyone who shows her a little attention.

(From Left) Cami, Lucy, and Harley are Deanna’s three kitties.

Cami (a.k.a Camilla, Camitron, Camibucket, Chickencat, Camiloaf, or Pillowbagshoecat) is Deanna’s special baby. She’s probably about five or six years old, but was rescued from some neglectful owners who weren’t sure of her age. She’s gone from a scrawny, scabby little rag to a plush purr-machine and is one of the sweetest things you’ll ever meet…because she’s as dumb as a post. She gets lost behind curtains or under beds and has to be shown her food bowl at meal times, because she runs back and forth between the other cats’ bowls, confused about how she’s supposed to get the food.

Lucy Fur is calico, eight years old, and queen of Deanna’s house. She enjoys hugging heating vents (You can tell where the heating ducts in the floors are by where she flops down.),  being served food in glass goblets, and kicking the other cats out of whatever room she wishes to occupy.  She’s often found sitting by the back door and demanding to be let outside, where she stays for about two minutes until she steps in snow and rushes back inside yowling.

Harley is the only boy in a house full of women, and works this to his advantage every chance he gets. Cami accidentally rescued him from a life on the streets when he was about four months old. She got outside, and when Deanna and her roommates started calling “Here, kitty kitty kitty!” he strolled up and applied for the open position. After a few weeks of ridding his intestines of parasites, he settled down into a life of eating, stealing food from cats and humans, ripping down curtains, tablecloths, and towels, attempting to eat curtains, tablecloths, and towels, and running into the bathroom, staring worriedly into the shower whenever anyone is bathing.

This toy is Cami’s most favorite thing in the world; her eyes go wide whenever someone touches it, and she’ll drag it upstairs to the bedrooms in the middle of the night and wake Deanna or her roommates up to play.

If there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that roommates can come around. I am proof! I live with 5 cats & a dog (none of which are mine, and 2 came after me)! It’s hard to get mad when they are so darn cute! Unfortunately, my boyfriend cannot step foot near my house because of horrible allergies! 🙁

We have that same toy, too! My cat Stardust sits on it if I’m not playing with her with it, and when I’m in the shower or getting ready for bed she’ll drag it to outside the bathroom door and just stare blankly at me. She’s completely insatiable.
